FUEL DEHAZER FOR GAS TURBINE DISTILLATE FUEL OILS - PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TURBOTECT EP-390 is specially designed to aid water separation and removal in distillate fuel storage tanks and speed-up settling time.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Poly-alkyl oxide block co-polymers in heavy aromatic naphtha

APPLICATION

  • TURBOTECT EP-390 is specially formulated to reduce the interaction of diesel fuels and other middle distillates with water, and to treat hazy fuel in tank storage. The dehazer must be thoroughly mixed with the fuel, and the most appropriate injection point is at the unloading pump station during filling of storage tanks. Any water that has already accumulated at the bottom of storage tanks should be drawn-off before transfer of the treated fuel.
  • Results are not instantaneous, and the treated fuel should be left to settle for as long as possible (few days) to enable coalescence of water droplets. Fuel temperature affects settling time, and water separation will be faster in warm fuel. Separated water should be drawn-off the bottom of fuel tanks on a regular and routine basis. Visual inspection of fuel clarity is a good guide to treatment effectiveness.

FEATURES

  • Effective on a broad range of distillate-grade fuels
  • Quick treatment response
  • Effective both on fuel dehazing and demulsification
  • Contains no metals and ensures compliance with gas turbine fuel specifications

BENEFITS

  • Maintains treated fuel bright and clear
  • Minimizes the risk of fungal and bacterial contamination problems during fuel storage
  • Minimizes the risk of high temperature corrosion caused by alkali metal contaminants in distillate fuels
  • No significant handling hazards

AVAILABILITY:

TURBOTECT EP-390 is available in non-returnable steel drums (208 litres nominal size).
